§1350.1. Louisiana Association of Chiefs of Police Risk Management Agency A. There is hereby created, in accordance with this Subpart, an interlocal risk management agency to be known as the Louisiana Association of Chiefs of Police Risk Management Agency, hereinafter referred to as "the agency". The agency shall be in the form of a trust. B. All powers, duties, functions, and responsibilities of the agency shall be vested in a board of trustees, which shall be appointed by the Louisiana Association of Chiefs of Police. The board shall have the power to perform all functions necessary to pool liability insurance risks of its member police departments in accordance with the provisions of this Subpart. The board of trustees shall consist of six full-time, professional law enforcement officers appointed by the Louisiana Association of Chiefs of Police and one risk management specialist elected from the professional committee which serves under the board. C. The agency shall be exempt from all fees and all taxes levied by this state or any of its subdivisions except taxes levied on real or personal property. D. The agency shall be subject to the excess insurance requirements established in R.S. 33:1349. Acts 1988, No. 354, §1.
