RS 33:140.27
Before a zoning ordinance or amendment is enacted, the city council must hold a public hearing and publish at least 10 days’ notice of the time and place in a newspaper of general circulation. An amendment also needs commission approval, or if disapproved, a favorable vote of a majority of the full city council.
