§2476. Acquisition of properties; expropriation A. The Port of South Louisiana Commission may acquire, purchase, construct, or improve industrial plant buildings and necessary property, equipment and appurtenances thereof as a lawful purpose for which its bonds may be issued in the manner and within the limitations provided in this Chapter. Such industrial properties are hereby determined to be structures useful for the commerce of the port area as contemplated by this Chapter and not inconsistent with the provisions thereof. B. The Port of South Louisiana Commission may acquire by expropriation, in accordance with the expropriation laws of the state of Louisiana, any land, servitudes, or improvements necessary for the commerce of the port area as contemplated by this Chapter and not inconsistent with the provisions thereof.
