§4712.5. Lease of or grant of concessions or rights of use for property by the city of Westwego for purposes which benefit the public A. The city of Westwego may lease or grant concessions or rights of use for any property or portions thereof, including real property, owned by the city, which in the opinion of its governing authority is to be used for purposes which benefit the public, in accordance with the procedures set forth in R.S. 33:4712, except as otherwise specifically provided in this Section. Any lease, concession, or right of use granted pursuant to this Section shall not exceed a term of twenty-five years. B. For the purposes of this Section, the term "purposes which benefit the public" shall mean operations of public or private enterprise which provide civic, recreational, educational, cultural, or social activities or opportunities to the public, which the city of Westwego is otherwise authorized and empowered to provide through its own forces, but which in the opinion of its governing authority the city does not currently have the funds, expertise, or facilities to provide to the public directly. C. Any lease, concession, or right of use granted pursuant to this Section shall be granted pursuant to a written agreement including all terms, conditions, and regulations of said activity deemed proper by the city of Westwego. Said terms and conditions shall include a provision that the general activities shall be carried on subject to such admission or activity fees as may be approved by the city in said agreement.
