A partnership or corporation’s license may be denied, suspended, or revoked if an officer, director, trustee, or partner did something—or failed to do a duty—that would justify action against that person individually.

1. Acts of officers, directors, trustees or partners. There is sufficient cause for the denial, suspension or revocation of the license of a partnership or corporation if an officer, director, trustee or partner has committed an act or omitted a duty that would be cause for denying, suspending or revoking a license to the party as an individual. A licensee is responsible for the acts of a sales representative acting as the licensee's agent, if the licensee approved of or had knowledge of the acts or other similar acts and, after such approval or knowledge, retained the benefit, proceeds, profits or advantages accruing from those acts or otherwise ratified those acts. [PL 1993, c. 683, Pt. A, §2 (NEW); PL 1993, c. 683, Pt. B, §5 (AFF).]
