Minnesota Statutes § 242.10 - HEARING OFFICERS, POWERS; PROBATION, COMMITMENT, PAROLE
The commissioner of corrections may appoint hearing officers and give them authority over probation, commitment, parole, and final discharge decisions. A person affected by a hearing officer’s order may appeal to the commissioner or a review panel.
