Minnesota Statutes § 86B.105 - SHERIFF'S SAFETY PROGRAM
The sheriff must run a safety program for watercraft activity, stop noncompliant rental/leased/hire watercraft or equipment from being used, and investigate and report accidents and drownings. The county board may authorize extra personnel for this work.
