Missouri Revised Statutes § 105.966

*105.966. Ethics commission to complete all complaint investigations, procedure, hearing for time extension, when — applicability to ongoing investigations. — 1. Except as provided in subsection 2 of this section, the ethics commission shall complete and make determinations pursuant to subsection 1 of section 105.961 on all complaint investigations, except those complaint investigations assigned to a retired judge, within ninety days of initiation. 2. The commission may file a petition in the Cole County circuit court to request an additional ninety days for investigation upon proving by a preponderance of the evidence that additional time is needed. Upon filing the petition, the ninety-day period shall be tolled until the court determines whether additional time is needed. 3. The hearing shall be held in camera before the Cole County circuit court and all records of the proceedings shall be closed. 4. The provisions of this section shall apply to all ongoing complaint investigations on July 13, 1999. 5. Any complaint investigation not completed and decided upon by the ethics commission within the time allowed by this section shall be deemed to not have been a violation.
