Missouri Revised Statutes § 403.290 - Adverse claims
A person with an adverse beneficial-interest claim may give written notice to the corporation or transfer agent; if notice is properly received, the transfer agent may mail notice to the claimant and must withhold the transfer for 30 days, then make the transfer unless a court order stops it.
