Missouri Revised Statutes § 51.280 - County clerks, duties, compensation (certain first class counties)
In certain first class counties without a charter government, the county commission clerk must issue county licenses, collect the related fees, and send the fees to the county treasury. The clerk may not keep any extra fees, compensation, or emoluments beyond what section 51.281 allows.
