Missouri Revised Statutes § 546.700 - Sentence not executed, procedure
If a death sentence has not been carried out and the case is still in force, the supreme court or county court must issue habeas corpus on the prosecutor’s application; if the convict is at large, the court or a judge may issue a warrant for apprehension.
