Missouri Revised Statutes § 56.250 - Special counsel — compensation — qualifications (second, third, and fourth class counties)
County governing bodies in second, third, and fourth class counties may hire special counsel or an attorney for county lawsuits and may pay reasonable compensation. The attorney must be licensed and at least 25 years old.
