Missouri Revised Statutes § 57.170 - Summary proceedings against sureties
If summary proceedings are brought against a sheriff, the sheriff’s sureties are liable too, but recovery from the sureties cannot exceed the money withheld by the sheriff plus 10% per year from the execution return day.
