Missouri Revised Statutes § 79.035 - Primary election may be held, procedure, cost, exception
Some fourth-class cities may authorize a primary election by ordinance, but if they do, they must file a certified copy with the secretary of state within 30 days and wait at least 60 days before holding the election.
