§ 44-5443. Artificial intelligence-based algorithm; use; restrictions; automated utilization management system; audit.
A utilization review agent must disclose when AI-based algorithms are used or will be used in utilization review, and AI algorithms cannot be the sole basis for denying, delaying, or modifying care based on medical necessity. The department may audit the system.
