19-10-50. Oil, gas and mineral leases on state park lands. The state park and recreation director has the right to authorize the commissioner of public lands to lease for oil and gas and other minerals any lands acquired by the state for state park or state recreational purposes upon such terms and conditions as may be prescribed by the state park and recreation director, where, in the discretion of the state park and recreation director, the leasing of such lands for oil and gas will not materially interfere with the use of such lands for state park or state recreational purposes or where it is deemed necessary or advisable and for the best interest of the state that such lands be leased for said purpose.
