TCA § 33-6-505 — Commitment to state facility
Before transport, the sheriff or other transportation agent must confirm the receiving facility has suitable available accommodations. If no suitable accommodation is available when decided, the commissioner must promptly find a state-owned or operated hospital or treatment resource when space becomes available.
