Labor Code § 301.072

Sec. 301.072. ENFORCEMENT OF SUBPOENA; OFFENSE; PENALTIES. (a) If a person is guilty of contumacy or refuses to obey a subpoena issued by a member of the commission or an authorized representative of the commission, a county or district court, on application by the commission or its authorized representative, may order the person to appear before a member of the commission, the commission, or its authorized representative to produce evidence or give testimony regarding the matter under investigation or in question. Only a court within the jurisdiction where the commission conducts the inquiry or where the person is found, resides, or transacts business may issue the order. (b) Failure to obey a court order issued under Subsection (a) is punishable as contempt. (c) A person commits an offense if the person, without just cause, does not obey a subpoena of the commission. An offense under this subsection is punishable by a fine of not less than $200, by confinement for not more than 60 days, or by both fine and confinement.
