Occupations Code § 1071.401

Sec. 1071.401. DISCIPLINARY POWERS OF BOARD. (a) The board shall revoke, suspend, or refuse to renew a certificate of registration or license, place on probation a person whose certificate or license has been suspended, or reprimand a registration holder or license holder for: (1) fraud or deceit in obtaining a certificate or license under this chapter; (2) gross negligence, incompetence, or misconduct in the practice of surveying as a land surveyor; or (3) a violation of this chapter or a board rule adopted under this chapter. (b) The license of a licensed state land surveyor is subject to revocation if the license holder is found to be directly or indirectly interested in the purchase or acquisition of title to public land.
