Government Code § 321.012
The committee controls spending for the State Auditor’s office and must approve the Auditor’s appropriation requests and audit plan. The State Auditor must approve salary-and-expense vouchers before payment. Some staff salaries cannot exceed comparable salaries paid by other departments, and salaries are paid monthly.
