Occupations Code § 252.007
A board member can be removed if listed qualification, eligibility, illness/disability, or attendance grounds exist. The executive director must notify the presiding officer, who must notify the governor and attorney general; if the presiding officer is involved, the next highest ranking officer takes that notice role.
