Occupations Code § 402.256

Sec. 402.256. AUTHORITY OF TEMPORARY TRAINING PERMIT HOLDER. (a) A temporary training permit holder may provide routine fitting and dispensing of hearing instruments that have been ordered by the supervisor. The supervisor is the sole judge of whether the permit holder has the qualifications necessary to perform routine fitting and dispensing. A supervisor is accountable to the department for the actions and misdeeds of a temporary training permit holder acting at the supervisor's discretion. (b) A temporary training permit holder may not: (1) own, manage, or independently operate a business that engages in the fitting or sale of hearing instruments; or (2) advertise or otherwise represent that the permit holder holds a license under this chapter.
