Occupations Code § 2001.304

Sec. 2001.304. TEMPORARY AUTHORIZATION. (a) The commission shall issue a temporary authorization for the activity requested if a license for the activity is not issued or denied before the 31st day after the earliest date on which each of the following has occurred: (1) the filing of an application for the license; (2) the payment of the proper license fee; (3) the filing of a copy of a tax exemption statement issued by the Internal Revenue Service under Section 501(c), Internal Revenue Code of 1986, if required; and (4) the completion of a criminal background investigation. (b) A temporary authorization is effective for not more than 60 days, subject to automatic revocation, if a denial letter is issued. (c) The commission may extend the effective period of the temporary authorization on written request filed before the end of the period. (d) A temporary authorization may not be effective for more than one year from the date of its original issuance. Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1999.
