Natural Resources Code § 32.104

Sec. 32.104. APPRAISAL FEE. (a) The board shall charge applicants for the purchase of excess acreage and unsurveyed public school land an appraisal fee for appraising the acreage and land to determine the price at which it is to be sold by the state. (b) The appraisal fee shall be in an amount set by the board, and any part of the fee which in the opinion of the board is unused shall be refunded to the applicant. (c) The appraisal fee shall be paid to the commissioner who shall deposit all fees that are not refunded in the State Treasury in the fund provided under Section 32.110 of this code. (d) The money deposited in the fund to the extent necessary is appropriated to the land office to pay salaries, travel expenses, and other expenses of personnel necessary to accomplish the appraisals or other work of the board. (e) The provisions of this section are cumulative of other laws which are not in conflict, but if a conflict exists, this section is controlling. Acts 1977, 65th Leg., p. 2379, ch. 871, art.
