Sec. 152.0151. BAILEY COUNTY. (a) The juvenile board of Bailey and Parmer counties is composed of the county judge, the district judges in the counties, and the judge of each statutory court designated as a juvenile court in the counties. (b) The juvenile board shall elect one of its members as chairman. (c) The commissioners courts of the counties shall pay the members of the juvenile board an annual salary set by the commissioners court at not more than $1,800, payable in equal monthly installments from the general fund of the counties. The counties shall apportion and pay the salary according to the ratio used to pay the expenses of the 287th Judicial District. (d) The counties shall apportion and pay the juvenile board costs, other than the judges' salaries, according to the ratio used to pay the expenses of the 287th Judicial District, unless the counties agree to use a different method of allocating costs. (e) The chief juvenile probation officer may set the salaries and allowances of juvenile probation personnel with the approval of the board. (f) Section 152.0005(b) does not apply to the juvenile board in Bailey and Parmer counties. Added by Acts 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 352, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1989.
