Occupations Code § 1301.652

Sec. 1301.652. PUBLIC EDUCATION EFFORT. (a) The board and the Texas Workforce Commission shall, through the local workforce development boards, coordinate efforts to educate the public about the plumbing profession and the resources available to employers for the recruitment and training of plumbers, including providing: (1) each local workforce development board with: (A) information about the licensing requirements for the plumbing profession; and (B) available statistical data regarding plumbing; and (2) a link to each agency's Internet site and to the Internet sites of other local workforce development boards. (b) The board may, during public and industry awareness seminars, raise awareness of the career ladder in the plumbing industry and the opportunities that plumbing apprenticeships offer. (c) This section applies to the extent that the plumbing profession is designated as an occupation in demand by a local workforce development board.
