About this statute
County officers or other money receivers must deposit funds with the county treasurer by the next regular business day, or by the fifth business day if that deadline cannot be met. County treasurers must deposit received money in the county depository by the seventh business day. In counties with fewer than 50,000 inhabitants, the commissioners court may extend the deposit period up to 15 days.
