Agriculture Code § 167.103

Sec. 167.103. TREATMENT OF ANIMALS BY PEACE OFFICER ON REQUEST OF INSPECTOR. (a) If a person responsible for treating animals fails to treat the animals at the time and place directed in the order or, prior to a treatment date in the order, states that he or she does not intend to treat the animals, the inspector in charge of tick eradication in that county shall notify a peace officer. (b) The peace officer shall deputize a sufficient number of assistants, to be designated by the supervising inspector of the county, shall enter the property on which the animals are located, and shall gather and treat the animals under the supervision of an inspector and in accordance with the directions of the commission. (c) The peace officer shall continue to treat the animals on each treatment date specified in the order until the person responsible for treatment begins and continues the treatment in accordance with that order.
