Business & Commerce Code § 21A.003
The attorney general may sue for injunctions, a $500 civil penalty per violation, or both, and can recover reasonable expenses. The court may also issue orders to return a deed in some cases, and the attorney general’s action must be filed within four years of the deed’s recording.
