Occupations Code § 505.354

Sec. 505.354. EXAMINATION. (a) The board shall prepare an examination to assess an applicant's qualifications for a license under this chapter. The executive council shall administer the examination at least once each calendar year. (b) Each license examination shall be conducted in a manner that is determined by the executive council and is fair and impartial to each applicant and school or system of social work. (c) Applicants may be known to the examiners only by numbers until after the general averages of the applicants' numbers in the class are determined and licenses are issued or denied. (d) To maintain the highest standards in the social work profession, the scope and content of each examination must be sufficient to ensure professional efficacy and competence. (e) The executive council shall have the written portion of the examination, if any, validated by an independent testing entity. Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1999.
