Transportation Code § 68.035

Sec. 68.035. APPLICATION FOR LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE. (a) To apply for a branch pilot's license or a deputy branch pilot's certificate, a person must give the board a written application in the form and manner required by board rule. (b) The board may require an applicant to include with an application: (1) a certification by a medical doctor, dated not earlier than the 15th day before the date of the application, stating that in the doctor's opinion the applicant on the date of the certification possesses the mental and physical health necessary to perform competently and safely the duties of a branch pilot or deputy branch pilot, as applicable; or (2) a certification by a medical doctor, dated not earlier than the 15th day before the date the application is filed, certifying that the applicant's body on the date of the certification is free of evidence of the presence of illegal drugs or chemicals.
