Insurance Code § 441.159
A conservator must finish required duties within 90 days of appointment, unless subsection (b) applies. The commissioner may extend the conservatorship in 30-day periods if written findings show a substantial likelihood of rehabilitation, and the total extensions cannot exceed 180 consecutive days.
