Education Code § 156.003
A person may not serve on the research coordinating board if they have certain ties to a Texas trade association in medicine, are linked to one through a spouse, belong to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, or must register as a lobbyist because of compensated advocacy related to the board.
