Transportation Code § 201.2004

Sec. 201.2004. EDUARDO "EDDIE" GRACIA, JR., P.E., AREA ENGINEER AND MAINTENANCE FACILITY. (a) The building in which, on January 1, 2025, is located the office of the area engineer for Starr County is designated as the Eduardo "Eddie" Gracia, Jr., P.E., Area Engineer and Maintenance Facility. (b) Subject to Subsection (c), the department shall: (1) design and construct markers at the site of the facility indicating the designation as the Eduardo "Eddie" Gracia, Jr., P.E., Area Engineer and Maintenance Facility and any other appropriate information; and (2) update existing signage along the highway on which the facility is located to reflect the designation described by Subdivision (1). (c) The department is not required to design or construct a marker or update existing signage under this section unless a grant or donation of private funds is made to the department to cover the cost of the design and construction of the marker or update of the existing signage. (d) Money received under Subsection (c) shall be deposited to the credit of the state highway fund. Added by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 132 (H.B. 2763), Sec. 1, eff. May 24, 2025.
