Human Resources Code § 152.1011

Sec. 152.1011. HALE COUNTY. (a) The juvenile board of Hale County is composed of the county judge, the district judges in Hale County, and the judge of any statutory court designated as a juvenile court in the county. (b) The juvenile board shall elect one of its members as chairman. (c) The commissioners court shall pay the members of the juvenile board an annual salary set by the commissioners court at not less than $1,200, payable in equal monthly installments from the general fund of the county. (d) The commissioners court shall pay the salaries and expenses of juvenile probation personnel and other expenses the chairman certifies as essential to provide services to children from the general funds or any other available funds of the county. (e) A member of the juvenile board is not liable in civil damages or for criminal prosecution for an action taken by the juvenile board. (f) The juvenile board shall appoint an advisory council composed of five citizens from different parts of Hale County. (g) Sections 152.0004 and 152.0005(b) do not apply to the juvenile board in Hale County. Added by Acts 1989, 71st Leg., ch. 352, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1989.
