Occupations Code § 204.208

Sec. 204.208. DUTY TO REPORT; MEDICAL PEER REVIEW. (a) A medical peer review committee in this state, physician assistant, physician assistant student, or physician lawfully practicing medicine in this state shall report relevant information to the physician assistant board related to the acts of a physician assistant in this state if, in the person's opinion, a physician assistant poses a continuing threat to the public welfare through practice as a physician assistant. The duty to report under this section may not be nullified through contract. (b) Sections 160.002, 160.003, 160.006, 160.007(d), 160.009, 160.013, 160.014, and 160.015 apply to medical peer review relating to the practice of a physician assistant. (c) A person, including a health care entity or medical peer review committee, that without malice furnishes records, information, or assistance to the physician assistant board is immune from any civil liability arising from that act.
