Human Resources Code § 31.033

Sec. 31.033. REINVESTIGATION AND REDETERMINATION OF ELIGIBILITY. (a) The commission may require periodic reconsideration of continued eligibility for assistance. (b) After reconsideration of continuing eligibility, the commission may change the amount of assistance or withdraw it if the commission finds that the recipient's circumstances have altered sufficiently to warrant that action. (c) The commission may cancel or suspend assistance for a period of time if the commission finds that the recipient is currently ineligible to receive it. (d) The commission shall notify the recipient immediately of its decision to change or withdraw assistance. (e) A recipient of assistance must notify the commission immediately if he or she comes into possession of income or resources in excess of the amount previously reported.
