Education Code § 11.355

Sec. 11.355. ANNEXATION OF ADDITIONAL TERRITORY BY CERTAIN SPECIAL-PURPOSE DISTRICTS. (a) Any military reservation territory that is subject to the same post or base command as a military reservation used to house dependents of military and civilian personnel and that wholly contains an independent school district, whether or not the reservations are contiguous, may be annexed to that reservation independent school district by the State Board of Education on petition of that post or base commander. (b) If a military reservation territory has been annexed to an independent school district of the same post or base command under Subsection (a) and the territory is no longer used to house dependents of military and civilian personnel, the State Board of Education, on petition of the post or base command, or on petition of a majority of the trustees of the school district from which the territory was originally detached, may detach the territory from the military reservation constituting an independent school district and annex it to the school district from which it was originally detached.
