Sec. 1471.057. APPEAL OF ASSESSMENT. (a) A property owner may appeal an assessment under this subchapter by filing a notice of appeal with the road district not later than the 30th day after the date the assessment is adopted. After receiving notice of appeal under this subsection, the district shall set a date to hear the appeal. (b) A property owner may appeal a district's decision on an assessment made under this subchapter to a court by filing notice of the appeal with the court not later than the 30th day after the date of the district's final decision on the assessment. (c) A property owner who fails to file notice in the time required by Subsection (a) or (b) loses the right to appeal the assessment. Added by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 227, Sec. 1, eff.
