Water Code § 49.065

Sec. 49.065. RECORDS. (a) The board shall keep a complete account of all its meetings and proceedings and shall preserve its minutes, contracts, records, notices, accounts, receipts, and other records in a safe place. (b) The records of each district are the property of the district and are subject to the open records law, Chapter 552, Government Code. (c) The preservation, microfilming, destruction, or other disposition of the records of each district is subject to the requirements of Chapter 201, Local Government Code, and rules adopted under that chapter. (d) Subsection (b) applies to a personal e-mail address of a director only if the district does not make available to the public an official e-mail address for the director or the district. In this subsection, "personal e-mail address" means an e-mail address that is not paid for by district money and is not used primarily for the transaction of official business of the district.
