Special District Local Laws Code § 1046.122

Sec. 1046.122. RECOMMENDATION OF LEGISLATION; NOTICE. (a) The board may not recommend to the legislature legislation to amend this chapter unless the recommendation is approved by a concurrence of seven directors. (b) The board shall give notice of the date, hour, place, and subject of a meeting at which the recommendation of legislation will be discussed in accordance with the open meetings law, Chapter 551, Government Code, except that the board shall furnish to the county clerk the notice required by Section 551.054, Government Code, at least 30 days before the date of the meeting. (c) The notice must be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the district once a week for four weeks. The first publication must occur at least 30 days before the date of the meeting.
