Occupations Code § 651.151

Sec. 651.151. GENERAL POWERS AND DUTIES. (a) The commission shall establish proficiency, professionalism, ethics, and qualification standards for individuals issued a license under this chapter. (b) The commission shall examine each applicant for a funeral director's license, embalmer's license, or provisional license and shall issue the appropriate license to a person who meets the licensing requirements. (c) The commission may appoint a committee from its members to consider and make a recommendation on a matter referred to the committee by the commission. (d) The commission may appoint advisory committees to perform the advisory functions assigned to the committees by the commission. An advisory committee appointed under this subsection is subject to Chapter 2110, Government Code. Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1999.
