Estates Code § 1351.001

A parent or managing conservator may ask the court for permission to sell a minor’s property interest without a guardian if the interest is worth no more than $250,000. If no parent or managing conservator can file, the court may appoint an attorney ad litem or guardian ad litem to file for the minor.
