Occupations Code § 454.051

Sec. 454.051. BOARD MEMBERSHIP. (a) The Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners consists of nine members appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate as follows: (1) four occupational therapist members who have practiced occupational therapy for at least the three years preceding appointment to the board; (2) two occupational therapy assistant members, each of whom has practiced as an occupational therapy assistant for at least the three years preceding appointment to the board; and (3) three members who represent the public and who are not occupational therapists. (b) Appointments to the board shall be made without regard to the race, creed, sex, religion, or national origin of the appointee. Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1999.
