Water Code § 61.079

Sec. 61.079. DISTRICT TREASURER'S BOND. (a) Before receiving the proceeds of any district bonds and before receiving any district funds from any source, the district treasurer shall execute a good and sufficient bond payable to the commission for the benefit of the district. The bond shall be in an amount fixed and approved by the commission. (b) The bond shall be conditioned on the district treasurer's faithfully executing the duties of his office, paying over all money that comes into his hands as the treasurer, and rendering a just account to the commissioners court or the commission when required to do so. (c) The bond required by this section shall remain in full force and effect as long as any funds belonging to the district are in the possession or under the control of the treasurer.
