Government Code § 44.157
Dallas County’s criminal district attorney must attend certain criminal courts, represent the state there, collect authorized fees, and file an annual fee report with the county judge. Other people generally may not perform the attorney’s duties unless the attorney and assistants are absent or unable/refuse to act.
