Education Code § 37.354

Sec. 37.354. FUNDING FOR FACILITIES STANDARDS COMPLIANCE. (a) The commissioner may authorize a school district to use money provided to the district for the purpose of improving school safety and security, including the school safety allotment under Section 48.160 or any other funding or grant money available to the district for that purpose, to comply with the requirements of this subchapter. (a-1) Funds appropriated in S.B. 30, Acts of the 88th Legislature, Regular Session, 2023, or similar legislation, for the purpose of improving school safety and security, may be used as described by Subsection (a). This subsection expires September 1, 2026. (b) The commissioner may adopt rules regarding safety and security requirements with which a school district must comply to receive funding or grant money available for the purpose of improving school safety and security.
