Government Code § 437.117

Sec. 437.117. TEXAS CHALLENGE ACADEMY. (a) For each student enrolled in the Texas ChalleNGe Academy, the department is entitled to allotments from the Foundation School Program under Chapter 48, Education Code, as if the academy were a school district without a tier one local share for purposes of Section 48.266, Education Code. (b) The department shall contract with an appropriate school district for the provision of educational services for students enrolled in the academy. The school district with which the department contracts shall be responsible for ensuring compliance with any applicable regulatory requirements imposed under the Education Code and enforced by the commissioner of education and the Texas Education Agency.
