Agriculture Code § 60.004

Sec. 60.004. DEFINITIONS. In this chapter: (1) "Assessment" means a charge levied against real property located within a district's boundaries or against an agricultural product produced on real property in the district to pay the costs associated with the district's purposes, including a reassessment or supplemental assessment. (2) "Board" means the board of directors of a district. (3) "Bond" means an obligation issued by a district under this chapter, including a bond, certificate, note, or other evidence of indebtedness. (4) "Director" means a member of the board of directors of a district. (5) "District" means a Texas Agricultural Development District established under this chapter. (6) "Project" means an agricultural project designated under Section 60.054. Added by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1393, Sec. 1, eff. June 16, 2001.
