Sec. 8380.154. ASSESSMENTS. (a) The board may undertake projects and services that confer a special benefit on all or a definable part of the district. The district may finance with special assessments any project or service authorized by this chapter or any other applicable law. The publication must be made not later than the 30th day before the date of the hearing. (d) Notice provided under this section must include: (1) the time and place of the hearing; (2) the general nature of the proposed project or service; (3) the estimated cost of the project or service, including interest during construction and associated financing costs; and (4) the proposed method of assessment. (e) Written notice containing the information required by Subsection (d) shall be mailed by certified mail, return receipt requested, not later than the 30th day before the date of the hearing.
